Building concrete structures together
What will you do as a concrete worker?
Good concrete work starts before the pour and requires care through to finishing. These are possible duties. We discuss which tasks the assignment includes and how they fit your experience.
Prepare the workplace and pour
Discuss the structure and preparations with the team. Check access, tools and the work sequence. Raise any issues with dimensions or preparation before concrete is placed.
Set up and check formwork
Depending on the assignment, help assemble, position and check formwork. Follow drawings and instructions, paying attention to dimensions and connections. Complex formwork requires specific experience; tell us which systems you know.
Coordinate reinforcement and cast-in components
Work with colleagues on preparations around reinforcement, openings and cast-in components. Check the agreed tasks and report deviations. Independent reinforcement fixing is a separate skill and is not part of every assignment.
Place, compact and finish concrete
Help place and distribute concrete according to the pour plan and workplace instructions. Use compaction or finishing equipment when trained and instructed to do so. Coordinate with the crew and work towards the specified finish.
Support curing and clean up
Help protect and cure the concrete as instructed. Formwork is removed only when authorised and in accordance with instructions. Clean equipment, keep the workplace organised and report damage or other visible issues.
Your practical skills matter
What experience do you bring?
Whether you mainly set formwork, help with pours or finish floors, explain your work. Experience gained in the Netherlands or elsewhere is relevant to our conversation.
We focus on practical skills. Required experience, languages, certificates and available tools are discussed for the specific assignment.

Accuracy and teamwork
You can follow instructions, check dimensions and coordinate with colleagues. You understand that preparation and teamwork during a pour affect the finished result.
Care with safety and physical tasks
Follow site instructions for equipment, material handling and protective equipment. Concrete work can be physically demanding. We discuss the conditions, duties and available handling aids for the assignment.

Questions about concrete worker jobs
About the work, your experience and the arrangements before you start.
Call usWhat does a concrete worker do?
A concrete worker helps prepare and build concrete structures. Duties can include formwork, placement, compaction, finishing and curing. The exact work depends on the structure, workplace and your experience.
Is a concrete worker the same as a formwork carpenter?
The roles overlap, but a formwork carpenter focuses mainly on formwork and its dimensions. Concrete work is broader and may include pouring and finishing. Tell us which part you specialise in.
Do I also need steel-fixing experience?
Not for every assignment. Installing or tying reinforcement is a specific skill. Tell us about any relevant experience. We agree your duties and how you will work with other trades beforehand.
Will I work on site or in a precast concrete factory?
That depends on the assignment. Site work and precast production have different sequences and conditions. Tell us which setting you know and your preference. We discuss the location and duties before you start.
What does a concrete worker earn in the Netherlands?
Pay and other terms are established for the specific assignment. No single confirmed rate applies to everyone on this page. Discuss pay, hours, allowances and accommodation or transport costs before accepting work.
Can I apply with experience only in concrete finishing?
Yes. Explain the finishes, tools and level of independence in your previous work. We assess whether suitable work is available. You do not automatically need to perform every part of concrete construction.
Which languages, certificates or driving licences do I need?
Requirements depend on the assignment. You must understand instructions and communicate safely. Tell us about certificates such as VCA and any driving licences you hold. We confirm requirements, travel arrangements, tools and protective equipment before you start.
Can I apply from outside the Netherlands?
Yes. Tell us where you currently live and when you are available. You can also contact us in Polish or Portuguese through the relevant language page. Communication requirements at the workplace are discussed separately.
Is accommodation or transport to work available?
We discuss the support available for your assignment and circumstances. Availability, arrangements and any costs must be agreed beforehand. Travel to the Netherlands only once your work and practical arrangements are clear.
Can I apply without a CV?
Yes. Your name, phone number and answers about your experience are enough for an initial conversation. Email and a CV are optional. You can also call first to discuss whether your skills fit the work.
You know your trade. Let us get to know you.
