From goods-in to dispatch

What will you do as a forklift or reach truck driver?

The right pallet in the right place, handled safely and without damage. These are tasks that may be involved in our assignments. They cover different environments; you will not automatically do every task in the same placement.

Receive and unload goods

You move pallets from the lorry to the designated receiving area. You check load stability, quantities and packaging condition. You coordinate the sequence with colleagues so that the unloading area and traffic routes stay clear.

Put pallets in the right location

A counterbalance forklift is used for internal transport; a reach truck can place and retrieve pallets in storage racks. You check the location and manoeuvre carefully. The equipment and storage heights depend on your experience and the assignment.

Pick and check orders

You help prepare the correct goods for an order or the next stage of work. You check the product, quantity and destination. If you have used a handheld scanner or warehouse management system, tell us. The balance between driving and other warehouse duties varies by workplace.

Prepare dispatches and load vehicles

You bring complete orders to the dispatch area and help load according to the site instructions. You check that pallets are stable and properly prepared. You report shortages or damage before the goods move on to the next stage.

Handle chilled and frozen goods

Some assignments involve chilled or frozen products. Hygiene, careful handling and suitable workwear matter in these environments. We discuss the temperature, tasks and working arrangements before you start. Cold-store work is not part of every placement.

Move building materials carefully

Other assignments involve building-materials warehouses, handling packaged products, sheet materials or other palletised goods. Weight, dimensions and vulnerable edges need attention. You follow the handling instructions and stay aware of colleagues and other vehicles in the area.

Your practical skills matter

Tell us how you work on the truck.

Do you unload lorries, put pallets into high racks or combine driving with order preparation? Tell us about your everyday work. We are looking for careful operators who can describe their practical skills.

Certificates, language and any additional instruction are checked for each assignment. We do not set a general minimum number of years or promise certificate renewal.

Apply for this work
  • Experience on one or both truck types

You have practical experience with a counterbalance forklift, a reach truck or both. Tell us what you do independently: loading, unloading, internal transport, racking or order preparation. You do not need to know every type of truck to contact us.

  • Safe, careful operation

You follow warehouse traffic rules and operate equipment for which you have the appropriate training and instructions. You identify damage and report problems. You do not take risks to get an order finished sooner.

  • Attention to goods and locations

You can check quantities, storage positions and order details. Experience with scanners, stock records or dispatch is relevant. Describe the tasks you know; the combination of duties will differ between assignments.

  • Working with the warehouse team

You carry out your agreed tasks and ask when something is unclear. You need to understand workplace instructions and communicate safely. We discuss the language and communication needed for the specific role before you start.

Questions about warehouse truck jobs in the Netherlands

Certificates, warehouse environments and the details to agree before you start.

Call us
What is the difference between forklift and reach truck work?

Counterbalance forklift work often involves loading, unloading and internal transport. Reach trucks are commonly used to place and retrieve pallets in warehouse racks. The layout and goods determine the tasks. Tell us which equipment and duties you know from experience.

Do I need to drive both a forklift and a reach truck?

No. You can apply with experience on either type or both. We review available assignments against your skills and discuss any additional requirements. Experience on one truck does not automatically mean you are prepared to operate another.

Will my forklift certificate be accepted in the Netherlands?

Tell us which training or certificates you hold, which equipment they cover and whether they are valid. We check the specific workplace requirements and any further assessment or preparation needed. We do not promise automatic acceptance of every overseas certificate.

Can I apply if my certificate has expired?

If you have experience but an expired certificate, or no certificate, select the relevant option in the form. We can discuss your situation and the assignment requirements. We do not promise renewal, training or a driving start without the required preparation.

Will I be working in cold storage?

Possibly, but this recruitment also covers other warehouse settings, including building-materials logistics. Tell us your preference. For a cold-storage assignment, we discuss the temperature, workwear, tasks and working arrangements before you accept.

How much do forklift and reach truck drivers earn?

Pay depends on the specific assignment and applicable terms. We do not have one confirmed wage to publish for all this work. Before you decide, we discuss pay, hours, any allowances and potential accommodation or transport costs.

Are these English-speaking jobs, and will I work shifts?

Language requirements and schedules vary by workplace. Tell us which languages you speak and the hours you can work. We confirm the communication needed, working pattern and any weekend duties for each opportunity. English-only or day-shift work is not guaranteed by this page.

Can I apply from abroad and ask about accommodation?

Yes. Tell us your current country and availability, whether you already live in the Netherlands or plan to move. We discuss practical arrangements, costs and any applicable work authorisation for your circumstances. This page does not promise visa sponsorship. Arrange travel after agreeing the details.

Can I apply without a CV?

Yes. Your name, phone number and short answers about your experience are enough for an initial conversation. Email and CV are optional. You can also call the EuroConnexxion team first to ask whether the work fits your skills.

You know your trade. Let us get to know you.
