From positioning the frame to the final joint

What does the work involve?

You install PVC windows, also commonly called uPVC windows, for one of our clients in the Netherlands. Tasks may differ between new builds and renovation projects. We explain the specific scope before you start.

Preparation and removal

When replacing windows, the work may include removing existing frames and preparing the opening for the new frame. You protect the surrounding area, remove components carefully and check the opening before installation. The preparation required depends on the project.

Positioning and fixing frames

You install PVC window frames, check that they are level and plumb, and secure them using the agreed installation method. You work with hand tools and power tools. Accuracy and checks throughout the fitting process matter as much as the final result.

Finishing and sealing

Once the frame is fitted, you finish the joint between the window and the wall. Depending on the task, you apply sealant or silicone, keeping joints neat and surfaces clean. The materials and application method are agreed for each project.

Your practical skills matter

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who know window fitting through hands-on experience. Whether you have worked in the Netherlands or elsewhere, tell us about the tasks you have carried out and the skills you would bring.

Language, driving licence, VCA and tool requirements are discussed for the specific project before you decide to start.

Questions from window fitters

About your experience, applying and the arrangements before you start work.

Call us
What does a window fitter do in the Netherlands?

The work involves installing PVC window frames: preparing the opening, positioning and fixing frames, and finishing the surrounding joints. Replacement work may include removing existing windows. Sealing is part of the profile, depending on the project. This is installation on construction sites, not window production in a factory.

Do I need experience installing PVC or uPVC windows?

Yes. This recruitment page is for experienced fitters. We do not specify a minimum number of years; we want to understand which tasks you can carry out. Use the form to tell us about your window fitting experience, work with PVC and sealing skills.

How much does a window fitter earn in the Netherlands?

We do not yet have a confirmed wage to publish on this page. Pay, hours and other conditions are discussed for the specific opportunity before you accept. Ask about how pay is calculated and any possible accommodation or transport costs as well.

Do I need to speak Dutch or English on site?

Language requirements depend on the project and are discussed before you start. EuroConnexxion also has Polish and Portuguese contacts, available through those language versions of this page. Support in your own language does not mean it will be sufficient on every construction site.

Do I need VCA, a driving licence or my own tools?

The requirements depend on the project. We discuss the required certificates, travel to work, tools and equipment before you begin. Tell us which qualifications and licences you already hold. Do not assume a particular requirement is compulsory or unnecessary until it has been confirmed.

Can I apply from outside the Netherlands?

Yes. You can contact us while living abroad or if you already live in the Netherlands. State your current country of residence and availability. We discuss the opportunities and practical preparation for your circumstances.

Can EuroConnexxion help with accommodation and transport?

We can discuss the available options for housing and getting to work. Availability, organisation and any costs depend on the project and your needs. Agree on these details before accepting the work or travelling to the Netherlands.

Is experience applying sealant important?

Yes. Careful sealing and finishing around the frame are important parts of this work profile. Indicate whether you have done this independently, with support from other fitters, or not yet. That helps us discuss how your skills match the tasks.

Can I apply without a CV or with another fitter?

A CV is optional for the initial application. You can use the form or call us. If you would like to work with another fitter, mention this during the conversation. We will check the possibilities, but cannot promise that you will be placed together.

You know your trade. Let us get to know you.
