Tell us what you can do. Apply with or without a CV.

From pipe drawing to accurate fit
What will you do as a pipefitter?
Correct dimensions, orientation and connections matter for every component. These tasks outline the role. We discuss materials, workplace and the split between fitting, installation and welding for each assignment.
Prepare drawings and pipe components
Read technical or isometric drawings and identify the required pipe sections, elbows and flanges. Compare dimensions and material details with instructions. Ask about missing or inconsistent information before assembling components.
Measure and prepare pipe sections
Measure and mark components ready for assembly. Cutting, deburring or weld preparation may be part of the assignment. Use the agreed equipment and check dimensions and joints before the next operation.
Fit up and align components
Position pipe sections, elbows and flanges to the drawing, checking fit and orientation. Coordinate the joint with the welder. Tack welding or completing welds is included only when your skills and the assignment are suitable.
Install pipework and flange connections
Build pipe sections and install the agreed components in a workshop or on site. Check connections and supports according to instructions. Work on existing systems only within the workplace's authorisation and safety arrangements.
Check and hand over
Check dimensions, component markings and visible assembly, reporting any deviations. Support handover to colleagues for further inspection or finishing. Pressure testing, commissioning and specialist inspections are separate tasks assigned beforehand.
Your practical skills matter
What experience do you bring?
Tell us about pipe assemblies, drawings and materials you have worked with. Both prefabricated pipe sections and on-site installation experience can be relevant.
We focus on practical skills. Required experience, languages, certificates and available tools are discussed for the specific assignment.
Apply for this workPipe assembly experience
You have prepared, aligned or installed pipe components. Tell us about materials such as carbon steel or stainless steel, connection types and working environments. Experience with every material is not a general requirement.
Drawing interpretation and accurate measurement
You can understand dimensions and component orientation from a drawing and check your work. Explain your experience with isometric drawings and where you still need support.
Careful coordination with the team
Work with welders, fitters and supervisors and follow workplace instructions. Check before securing parts and report deviations. VCA, permits or particular flange-assembly skills are discussed where the assignment requires them.

Questions about pipefitter jobs
About the work, your experience and the arrangements before you start.
Call usWhat does a pipefitter do?
A pipefitter prepares and assembles components and installs pipe systems. Measuring, alignment and reading technical drawings are important parts of the trade. Work may take place in a workshop or on site.
Does a pipefitter need to weld?
Not every pipefitter completes the weld. You often work alongside a welder. Tell us about tack welding or welding experience and the processes you know. Welding duties and any certification requirements are discussed separately.
Do I need to read isometric drawings?
Isometrics are relevant to many pipework assignments. Tell us whether you use them independently, with support or not yet. We discuss drawing complexity and the independence expected for available work.
Will I work with carbon steel, stainless steel or plastic pipes?
Materials and joint types depend on the assignment. This profile focuses on pipe fitting and installation, and we ask about your experience with the relevant materials. Plastic fabrication or specialist welding is not automatically included.
What does a pipefitter earn in the Netherlands?
Pay depends on the specific role, duties and terms. No uniform salary figure has been confirmed for this page. Before you decide, we discuss pay, working times, any allowances and possible accommodation or transport costs.
Is plumbing experience enough?
Experience with measuring, pipe installation and connections may be relevant, but industrial pipe fitting can involve different drawings, materials and procedures. Describe your installations so we can assess the match without promising an automatic transition.
Which languages, certificates or driving licences do I need?
Requirements depend on the assignment. You must understand instructions and communicate safely. Tell us about certificates such as VCA and any driving licences you hold. We confirm requirements, travel arrangements, tools and protective equipment before you start.
Can I apply from outside the Netherlands?
Yes. Tell us where you currently live and when you are available. You can also contact us in Polish or Portuguese through the relevant language page. Communication requirements at the workplace are discussed separately.
Is accommodation or transport to work available?
We discuss the support available for your assignment and circumstances. Availability, arrangements and any costs must be agreed beforehand. Travel to the Netherlands only once your work and practical arrangements are clear.
Can I apply without a CV?
Yes. Your name, phone number and answers about your experience are enough for an initial conversation. Email and a CV are optional. You can also call first to discuss whether your skills fit the work.
You know your trade. Let us get to know you.
